Unless you lived under a rock in a cave somewhere, you have probably heard about home invasions. They are a burglary at home on steroids. They are much more dangerous than a normal home invasion. And here is why.

Always ask for identification. Look in your front window to see whether a vehicle connected with the company the right to work. Just because they carry a toolbox does not mean that they are genuine. Look for a firm spot on the uniforms. Beware of anyone who comes unexpectedly.
